AI Opportunity Finder

Ten quick questions. About a minute. No email needed.

About this tool

What it does
Ten multiple-choice questions produce a map of where AI could help your organisation, and a short plan written from your answers.
Who it's for
Leaders of small and mid-sized organisations working out where to start.
The problem it solves
It points you at where your team's time and friction go before anyone talks about tools.
What I built
The questions, scoring model, chart and fallback plans, plus a secure Cloudflare Worker that asks Claude to write the plan.
Its limits
It's indicative, from ten answers. Real opportunities depend on your processes, data and people.

Selected work

Strategy, commercial results and a build. Each one started with the problem, and the tools came later.

Case 01 / strategy and adoption

Stewardship

National UK charity Aug 2025 to present

135
national survey responses
18
workshops and group sessions
15
leaders in the national pilot
6to 12+
months, after the engagement was extended

Problem

Stewardship wanted to strengthen financial leadership across its national network, but the vision was broad and the route to impact unclear.

What I built or changed

  • Worked with the CEO, Chief Strategy Officer and board to clarify the vision and define what success would look like
  • Translated it into a phased roadmap with objectives, milestones and success measures
  • Built the evidence base: a national survey with 135 responses, plus 18 workshops and group sessions
  • Designed, built and now deliver a four-session training programme for a national pilot cohort of 15 leaders, supported by a diagnostic tool with visual results and AI-powered insight capture
  • Run fortnightly strategic reviews with the CEO and CSO, and spoke for the organisation at its annual conference and three further industry conferences

Result

The engagement was adopted as one of the organisation's five strategic goals for the year and extended from 6 to 12+ months. It concludes in November 2026 with a strategic report to the Board and a plan for national roll-out.

My role Lead consultant, end to end: strategy, design, build, delivery and executive reporting.

Case 02 / commercial impact

A founder-led wine business

12-month engagement

Monthly revenue

Beforeunder £20k
After£100k+

Gross margin

Beforec.15%
Afterc.55%

Net margin now stable at c.15%

Problem

A founder-led wine business with a strong product, but under £20k a month in revenue, thin margins and limited revenue streams.

What I built or changed

  • Repriced the range and reworked the sales approach with the founder and team
  • Developed new revenue streams, including a membership tier
  • Coached the founder on leadership as the business scaled

Result

Over the 12 months, monthly revenue grew from under £20k to £100k+ and gross margin from c.15% to c.55%, with net margin now stable at c.15% and a new, growing membership tier.

My role Commercial and leadership advisor to the founder and team.

Case 03 / build

A financial education membership platform

Own venture May 2026 to present

5
months, built single-handedly
c.£90k+
of agency build, by equivalent effort
25+
AI-powered tools and calculators
1,250
registrations across launch and follow-up

Problem

Launching a membership business needed a full digital platform, and an agency build was unaffordable.

What I built

  • A member portal, 25+ AI-powered tools and calculators (including a Monte Carlo lifetime cashflow model with full UK tax logic) and a searchable content library with an admin portal
  • The Claude API, integrated through a secure Cloudflare Workers proxy with access control and usage tracking
  • The customer lifecycle, automated in GoHighLevel CRM: webhooks, an onboarding diagnostic and segmented nurture sequences
  • An admin dashboard with a custom Stripe integration that produces management packs and accountant-ready year-end figures, with engagement data logged in Cloudflare D1
  • The paid-ads and webinar funnel: 1,250 registrations across the launch and a week-long follow-up campaign, paid registrations at c.£2 each against a £3.50 target, and cost per landing-page view cut by c.80% through creative and audience testing

Result

A working, launched platform, built in a fraction of the time and cost of an agency build, with a reusable component library now applied to client work.

My role Sole designer, builder and operator.

How I work

Consulting first, then building. The same person does both, so nothing is lost in the handover.

  1. 01

    Executive discovery and problem framing

Sit with the leadership team to pin down the problem worth solving, and who owns it.

  2. 02

Define success and the evidence needed

Agree what better looks like, how it will be measured, and where things stand today.

  3. 03

    Prioritised roadmap

Turn the options into a phased plan with owners, milestones and success measures.

  4. 04

    Pilot or prototype

Test the riskiest assumption quickly, with the people who will use the result.

  5. 05

    Build and integration

Build the tools, automations and workflows, and connect them to the systems you already run.

  6. 06

    Training, adoption and measurement

Train the team, embed the new way of working, and report against the measures agreed at the start.

Engagements

Working together

  • Contract, fractional or project-based
  • London-based, 1 to 3 days a week
  • Most experience in financial services, scale-ups and membership organisations
